Water-based glaze for blending, aging, and adding grunge, depth and patina to painted furniture.
Annabell Duke antiquing glaze is perfect for creating an authentic antique and timeworn look to your painted furniture. It's great for applying to carvings, mouldings, corners, and crevices where dust and dirt would naturally accumulate over the years. The lightly-tinted formula dries to a soft matt finish and is available in Rich Ebony — a deep black, and Smoked Oak — a rich brown.
It's easy to apply using either a brush, sponge, or lint-free cloth. This product has a long open time, which means it won't dry quickly while you are working with it, allowing you plenty of time to move the glaze around on your piece and get the look you want without the fear of it drying mid-process.
Annabell Duke is the creation of Michael Burningham. Michael has a wealth of experience in the painting and decorating industry, and so when it comes to paint he really knows his stuff.
Go back a few years to when chalk paint had suddenly gained huge popularity in the furniture painting world. Michael had so many customers asking him to stock chalk paint in his specialist decorator centre that he decided to produce his own brand. He listened to everything his customers wanted in a chalk paint, and he delivered.
He introduced us to the sophisticated and aristocratic Annabell Duke, with her (then) fabulous 50 shades of chalk paint! She certainly proved to be a popular lady and soon attracted a string of independent stockists.
In 2018, Michael became very aware of the shift in the market: there was a whole new wave of furniture painters out there. This time their demands were for a paint with a look and finish to suit the more contemporary furniture that had gained popularity in the interior design world.
Once again, Michael listened to his customers’ specific requirements, and so Annabell Duke Modern Finish Mineral Paint was launched: a smooth silky paint with exceptional coverage and durability, that is self-priming, self-levelling and self-sealing!
The Annabell Duke Collection, proudly made in the UK. Quality paints, metallics, finishes and preparation products.
In Michael’s own words: “We’ve got you covered”.
