Avalon was a British manufacturer based in Yatton in Somerset. This lovely chest of drawers dates back to the 1960’s. I have given her a brand new identity, combining both mid-century quality and charm with a look to suit many of today’s homes.
I have called this piece ‘Anything Goes’. She is painted in Annabell Duke mineral paint in the limited edition colour ‘Lupin’ and the dark stripes in Fusion Mineral Paint in the colour ‘Twilight Geranium', which has been mixed with a metallic copper paint. The same copper paint has been used to stencil the top. I have then added Bee handles and hairpin legs, all of which have been sprayed copper. To the sides I have applied a beautiful transfer called ‘Ruby Rose’ by Re-design with Prima.
This elegant lady has five good sized drawers offering plenty of storage.

This is a vintage piece that has had a long previous life. It is also hand-painted and hand-finished. In my opinion, any minor imperfections that may be present as a result of both of these factors contribute to its character, charm and history.
