This is a lovely solid oak barley twist gateleg dining table. A perfect piece to take pride of place in your dining room, and will comfortably seat six people. It can be equally useful in any living area if space is limited, as you can drop the flaps when not in use.
The top, which has beautiful scalloped detailing to the edge, has been fully stripped and protected with a clear matt varnish.
The base and scalloped edge to the top have been sanded to remove the old varnish, then painted in a custom mix of Empire Green and Rebel Grey mineral paint by Annabell Duke.

WoodUbend mouldings have been applied to the visible skirts at each end of the table to add some extra interest. I have then enhanced the detailing of these using a black glaze and a pearl metallic paint.
This is a vintage piece that has had a long previous life. It is also hand-painted and hand-finished. Any minor imperfections that may be present as a result of both of these factors contribute to its character, charm and history.
