Add shade and depth

Choose from dark waxes, pastes and antiquing glazes to add depth and dimension to your piece.

Dark or black wax can be applied to give your piece an all-over aged patina.

For more authenticity, concentrate on key areas to mimic where an accumulation of dust and dirt would naturally occur over many years of exposure to handling, smoke and pollutants. These areas include the corners of drawers or panelled doors, and around handles.

Add depth of colour into carvings, mouldings and crevices to subtly accentuate the three-dimensional character of surfaces as well as to add the impression of age.
