Use as a regular decoupage glue

Its silky smoothness allows it to glide across surfaces with effortless ease, making it perfect for all those decoupage projects, from the thinnest of tissue papers, napkins, and rice papers right through to wallpaper.

Apply the decoupage glue to the item and lay your paper down over it, apply another coat of the glue over the top of your paper working out any air bubbles. Allow to thoroughly dry and then topcoat as desired.

Use as an image transfer medium

This works best with decoupage paper or your own printed images.

TOP TIP: if you are printing your own image ensure that you use a laser printer as an inkjet printer will not work. Remember to print the image in reverse so that it’s the right way round on your chosen surface.

You can transfer on lots of different mediums such as fabric, wood (painted and raw), metal, glass, and terracotta. Just make sure your surface is free of wax or oil and is clean and dust-free.

To transfer an image simply apply the Decoupage and Transfer Gel to the surface and place your print face down. Apply pressure with a credit card or a stiff pad to ensure your paper makes full contact with the surface and to remove any air bubbles.

Leave for 24 hours then wet the back of the paper and gently rub away the paper pulp to reveal your beautiful image. To finish, apply a coat of the Decoupage and Transfer gel for protection.

Paint shop shipping FAQ

What delivery services do you use?

We only ship within the United Kingdom.

All orders are sent via Royal Mail.

'Standard delivery' means Royal Mail Tracked 48. The expected delivery timescale for this is 2–3 working days.

'Express delivery' means Royal Mail Tracked 24. This is expected to arrive in 1–2 working days.

How much will delivery cost?

The charge for delivery is based on the service (standard or express) and on the weight of the parcel.

Delivery starts at £3.95 for standard, and £4.95 for express. As a guide, if your order is heavier than two 500ml pots of paint then it will probably move up to a higher price band.

When will my order be dispatched?

Orders placed before midday on weekdays (other than bank holidays) will be dispatched on the same day.

Orders received after that will be dispatched the next working day.

If, for any reason, this will not be possible, this will be clearly shown in a banner message at the top of the site.

You will notified by email when your order has been dispatched.

Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that the shipping address and other contact details on your order are correct. Whilst I make every effort to spot obvious errors, I cannot be held responsible for missing parcels if you have not provided me with complete, correct address information.

What if I have special requirements?

If you need your order more quickly, or have any other special requirements, please do let me know. For example, you may have missed the cutoff for same-day dispatch, or you may want your order to be tracked, or signed for, or to be guaranteed next day.

How are orders packaged?

Small, non-fragile items such as roller sleeves or paintbrushes are generally sent in padded envelopes.

Other items are carefully packed in sturdy cardboard boxes and clearly marked as fragile.

I take great pride in the quality of our packing, and so far (touch wood!) I have had no instances where orders have suffered damage in transit.

This a really good product. It was my second pot as I was decoupaging my wardrobe doors. Stuck everything down really well and I also sealed the panels with it also.
