Preparation is key if you want to achieve a durable and professional paint finish.

That preparation starts with cleaning your piece of furniture thoroughly even before you sand it.

TSP Alternative by Fusion Mineral Paint is highly efficient. It removes oil, grease, fingerprints, stains and other contaminants, which will improve the adhesion and the look of of your newly painted piece.

Fusion TSP Alternative is safe and is super easy to use. It’s non-hazardous, water-based and phosphate-free, which means it's biodegradable.

Highly efficient, it uses natural technology to powerfully lift grease and grime from surfaces.

Its no-rinse formula makes Fusion TSP easier to use than other products on the market.

This highly concentrated formula offers excellent value for money from just one bottle.

Simply mix 2 capfuls of the TSP Alternative solution into a litre of water. Then apply the solution and wipe over the surface using cloth, rag or sponge.

During the cleaning process, rinse out your sponge or cloth and continue cleaning until there no more dirt.

You will know you’re done cleaning when there is no more dirt coming off the piece, and it feels squeaky clean.

Allow your piece to dry thoroughly before moving onto the next stages of your preparation.

Tip: I like to apply the TSP alternative with a spray bottle, you can direct it into all the nooks and crannies. You also don't contaminate the solution with your dirty cloth, and if you don't use it all you have got it left over for next time :-)

Paint shop shipping FAQ

What delivery services do you use?

We only ship within the United Kingdom.

All orders are sent via Royal Mail.

'Standard delivery' means Royal Mail Tracked 48. The expected delivery timescale for this is 2–3 working days.

'Express delivery' means Royal Mail Tracked 24. This is expected to arrive in 1–2 working days.

How much will delivery cost?

The charge for delivery is based on the service (standard or express) and on the weight of the parcel.

Delivery starts at £3.95 for standard, and £4.95 for express. As a guide, if your order is heavier than two 500ml pots of paint then it will probably move up to a higher price band.

When will my order be dispatched?

Orders placed before midday on weekdays (other than bank holidays) will be dispatched on the same day.

Orders received after that will be dispatched the next working day.

If, for any reason, this will not be possible, this will be clearly shown in a banner message at the top of the site.

You will notified by email when your order has been dispatched.

Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that the shipping address and other contact details on your order are correct. Whilst I make every effort to spot obvious errors, I cannot be held responsible for missing parcels if you have not provided me with complete, correct address information.

If you realise you have made a mistake with your order it is best to call me immediately — Caroline, 07812 186556; if you email me, I can’t guarantee I will see the information in time.

What if I have special requirements?

If you need your order more quickly, or have any other special requirements, please do let me know. For example, you may have missed the cutoff for same-day dispatch, or you may want your order to be tracked, or signed for, or to be guaranteed next day.

How are orders packaged?

Small, non-fragile items such as roller sleeves or paintbrushes are generally sent in padded envelopes.

Other items are carefully packed in sturdy cardboard boxes and clearly marked as fragile.

I take great pride in the quality of our packing, and so far (touch wood!) I have had no instances where orders have suffered damage in transit.

A superb cleaner that prepares the work for ultra grip and then painting.

I wasn’t sure if this could work because it looks so simple!
The water in the bucket confirmed everything I needed to know and spraying on as suggested work brilliantly!
