Description

Fusion's Ultra Guard water-based Polyurethane is exceptionally easy to use, it doesn’t dry too quickly, giving you plenty of time to work with the product, and it provides durable, long-lasting protection. It contains silica, which increases resistance to scratches and abrasion.

Ultra Guard is for indoor use and is the perfect go-to for protecting water-based painted surfaces and bare wood. Protect your furniture, kitchen units, and wooden floors, giving them longevity by keeping them looking good for many years, saving you time, work and money.

Ultra Guard’s non-yellowing formula makes it perfect for protecting all light colours. When applied, it appears whitish and opaque, but it dries completely clear, which is exactly what you need over dark colours.

How to use

Preparation

Existing Painted Surfaces: Clean and degrease with Fusion TSP Alternative
Newly Painted surfaces: Allow 24-48 hours after painting before applying
Bare Wood: Sand smooth with 120-grit sandpaper, ensuring it's free from wax and remove any dust before application

Stirring

Stir thoroughly and wait 20 minutes before applying

Application

Apply with a synthetic bristle brush or a microfiber roller
Sand lightly with 220-grit sandpaper between coats

Number of Coats

Painted Surfaces: 2 coats recommended
Bare Wood & Non-Sealing Stains: 3 coats for optimal protection

Drying Times

Between Coats: Allow 3 to 48 hours
After 48 hours, lightly sand before the next coat

Paint shop shipping FAQ

What delivery services do you use?

We only ship within the United Kingdom.

All orders are sent via Royal Mail.

'Standard delivery' means Royal Mail Tracked 48. The expected delivery timescale for this is 2–3 working days.

'Express delivery' means Royal Mail Tracked 24. This is expected to arrive in 1–2 working days.

How much will delivery cost?

The charge for delivery is based on the service (standard or express) and on the weight of the parcel.

Delivery starts at £3.95 for standard, and £4.95 for express. As a guide, if your order is heavier than two 500ml pots of paint then it will probably move up to a higher price band.

When will my order be dispatched?

Orders placed before midday on weekdays (other than bank holidays) will be dispatched on the same day.

Orders received after that will be dispatched the next working day.

If, for any reason, this will not be possible, this will be clearly shown in a banner message at the top of the site.

You will notified by email when your order has been dispatched.

Please note that it is your responsibility to ensure that the shipping address and other contact details on your order are correct. Whilst I make every effort to spot obvious errors, I cannot be held responsible for missing parcels if you have not provided me with complete, correct address information.

What if I have special requirements?

If you need your order more quickly, or have any other special requirements, please do let me know. For example, you may have missed the cutoff for same-day dispatch, or you may want your order to be tracked, or signed for, or to be guaranteed next day.
