In this class, you will discover the mesmerizing art of paint-pouring.
This is a fun class for beginners who just want to go with the flow and learn a new skill that can be applied to many flat surfaces such as canvases, placemats, and pieces of furniture.
This workshop is ideal for beginners. Take your skills to a new level and learn the basic techniques of paint pouring. You will create unique and mesmerising fluid artwork. See the paint flow, blend, meander and form cells before your very eyes. I warn you, it’s a messy business but so much fun.
All materials will be provided and the canvases are yours to take home once they are dry. During this workshop, you will learn to apply three different pouring techniques onto small artist canvases:
You will be using products from the Fusion Mineral Paint range which include: Mineral Paint, Metallic Paint, Pouring Resin, and Cell Enhancer.
You will learn how to select your colour combinations for best effect and contrast.
At the end you can sit back and admire your artistic creations and I will discuss how you can apply these very same techniques to a piece of furniture making your work really stand out from the crowd.
Please note that your canvases will not be dry enough for you to take away on the day, but they will be ready for you to collect the following week.
My classes are fun-filled and packed with hints and tips, they offer a great environment to relax, have some fun, learn a new skill, and meet new friends.
Numbers are kept to a maximum of 6 people so I can give each of you my full attention ensuring that you can get the very best out of the day.
Courses run from 10am to 4pm, with a short break for lunch. Arrive at 9.30 for a brew and a meet & greet.
All classes are held at my light-filled studio set in a beautiful rural location less than 20 minutes from Derby, Belper and Ashbourne.
There is plenty of secure off-street parking on site.
Please note the studio has disabled access, however, it does have two floors. If you have any accessibility or disability requirements, please let me know in advance and I will do my very best to accommodate you.
All tools, materials, and aprons are provided.

Come armed with a notebook and a pen, because you won’t want to miss all those golden nuggets of information on the day.
Painting can be a messy old business so wear your old comfy casuals that you don’t mind if you get the odd splash of paint on. Also, wear safe, flat comfortable shoes.
This is a great opportunity for you to continue with your newly found skills. There will be a 10% discount off all paint shop products and any future painting courses you book on that day.
